Beautiful Snow by Mark Parry

Yes, it's that time of the year yet again.  It may only come around once in a blue-moon.  I was looking at a book called Shropshire Railways Pictorial, and suddenly it started coming down.  The snow is now coming down in bigger clumps than before.

Most of the children and teenagers of today, probably haven't seen anything like this in a long time.  I remember when I was a little child, making snowballs and throwing them at different objects.  We must also remember, that it isn't very nice for the elderly.  Who does the responsibility rest on, to go and get food etc for these people?  The best winters were 1975-1988.  Now, they really were nasty and vicious winters.

Also, when I look out of the window at the snow coming down.  I sense a feeling of wonder and of dread.  We are the ones that are living, and the snow-flakes are the fallen souls, that left us behind a long time ago.  Snow can also make everything look Gothic.  I love the thought of a graveyard covered in snow.  It's even better when snow has not been desturbed by footprints.  I am still a child inside.

Just remember.  Adults need play time, as well as children.  Adults were once, and still are in a way, children deep down inside.  We have our own adult ways of fantasy, as well as children.  Let playtimes begin!
